Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 26, 2026
This is an informative English translation. The legally binding version is the Romanian original, which prevails in case of any discrepancy.
In short
- We want Florova to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability.
- We target the WCAG 2.2 level AA standard and EN 301 549.
- You can navigate entirely from the keyboard, without a mouse.
- We respect your system’s “reduce motion” preference.
- Found a barrier? Write to us — we reply within a maximum of 5 business days.
1. Our commitment
Florova is committed to making the platform accessible to as many users as possible, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of product quality, not as an optional checkbox.
We align with the WCAG 2.2 level AA standard and the European standard EN 301 549, in the spirit of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), applicable from 28 June 2025.
2. Conformance status
The platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. “Partially conformant” means that most requirements are met, but there are still areas we are continuously improving (see the limitations in point 4).
We assess accessibility regularly and fix identified issues as we develop the product.
3. What we’ve implemented
Measures active in the platform right now:
- Full keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable with Tab; Esc closes dialogs and menus.
- Visible focus indicator on all controls, so you always know where you are on the page.
- “Skip to content” link at the start of every page, for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” preference — if your system requests less motion, we disable non-essential animations.
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text, in both the light and dark themes.
- Generous touch targets — at least 44×44 px on mobile, for easy use even with gloves or reduced dexterity.
- Semantic structure — hierarchical headings, ARIA landmarks, labels on forms and icon buttons.
- Status messages announced to screen readers (“live” regions) for confirmations and errors.
- Dark theme and support for zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- Alternative text on content images and hiding of purely decorative elements from assistive technologies.
4. Known limitations
We are transparent about the areas we still have to improve:
- Some dense data tables (stock, sales) can be hard to traverse on very small screens with a screen reader — we are working on an alternative mobile experience.
- Generated PDF documents (invoices, reports) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. On request, we can provide the same data in an accessible format.
- The public websites created by flower shops through our builder may contain text or images entered by them that do not fully follow the accessibility rules. We provide tools and recommendations, but the content belongs to the flower shop.
If a limitation prevents you from using an essential service, contact us — we will provide an accessible alternative.
5. How to report an accessibility issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Florova, please let us know. Your feedback directly helps us improve the platform.
Write to us at contact@albertoiacob.ro and include, if you can: the page or feature affected, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology used (if applicable) and what happened.
We respond within a maximum of 5 business days and let you know a realistic remediation timeline.
6. Enforcement / recourse
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you may contact ANPC (the National Authority for Consumer Protection), the supervisory authority relevant to enforcing accessibility requirements in Romania.
7. Legal framework
- European Accessibility Act — Directive (EU) 2019/882, applicable from 28 June 2025, and the Romanian transposing legislation.
- The European harmonized standard EN 301 549.
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.
8. Evaluation method
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by the Florova team, using automated checks (axe-core, Lighthouse) combined with manual testing from the keyboard and with screen readers. We re-assess at each major release and update this page.
